In cities like Manila and Quezon City, good healthcare provision can be found especially in the private practice sector. Clearly, this explains the strong dominance of branded medicines over generic medicines that only account for 4% of the market.
With economic liberalization and market deregulation, previously untapped market potential could be realized in the next few years.
